Yeah, so... I decided to make a whole different blog devoted to 'Creative Writing Class.' This way, the other Anko's Classroom blog can be devoted to updates and other such stuff, while Creative Writing can be a thing all its own, with some bells and whistles added.
Okay, so I'm sure there are plenty reading this that are tired of hearing about Creative Writings, and just wish they could disappear, but I'm also sure there are some who don't know what those are, and might have a legitimate interest in them, so for the latter portion, let's go over them!
To start off, I provide the readers with one to five different images to choose from, and you're to write a oneshot fanfiction whose story has to, in some way, have something to do with the image you've chosen. You're free to make up to 2 entries, and you're free to post them on whatever site you're comfortable with, but for the sake of simplicity, I also want all entries be sent to my email, at ankosclassroom@yahoo.com.
Please note, that these creative writing assignments are not contests, and while I do hope to hand out prizes to those who write particularly good entries (prizes which I'm yet to determine right now :/), the purpose of these creative writings is to inspire creativity and is all meant to be in good fun.
While I want anyone interested to have as much creative freedom as they want with their Creative Writings, there are a few simple rules that I would like everyone to follow:
1) All entries must be at least 3000 words long, and a maximum of 10,000 words. If you go a little bit over, that's fine, just please, not one word more than 10,500 words.
2) Please, use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure! I can understand that sometimes, a few typos are unavoidable, but thayrznoexcus4astoreethatlookslikthis!
3) As noted, all entries must somehow relate to one of the images provided. However, you are free to select multiple images to reference in your story.
4) While I can appreciate that there are tons of people out there who have different attractions than I do, there are a few fetishes that I really would just rather not see in these entries, and they are as follows: Furry/Bestiality, Vore (consumption of people), Feet, Guro (gore, mutilation, extreme violence, etc) Necrophilia, Fat/Weight Gain, Inflation, and Giant/Shrinking.
I don't have anything personal against some of these, it's just that this isn't that kind of storytelling corner, and I'd just kinda rather keep things at least somewhat classy.
5) All entries are to be complete oneshots, NOT chapters.
6) Have fun!
Additionally, there are no deadlines, so if you're reading this post 2 years from now, you're still free to make an entry based on one of the five images shown below, as well as any of the other future Creative Writing 'Assignments' (Note: The word 'assignment' is simply used to go with the classroom theme I'm trying to make. It is not an indication that you need to do these, or that I'm forcing you to do them.).
Lastly before I present the images for the current assignment (for the 50th time! =P), I'll be providing a poll in which anyone reading can vote for what anime series the next assignment should be centered around. Please note, I don't know ALL anime series, and so if there's an anime you want to vote for that isn't listed, vote 'other', and leave a comment specifying the series you want to see done.
And finally, here are the images to be focused on for the current Creative Writing Assignment:

Have fun, everyone!
What are the general rules toward OCs?
ReplyDeleteI didn't really thing of OCs :/ Though... now that I think of it, probably a bit of an oversight....
DeleteEither those rules will vary, depending on the assignment, or I'll have to come up with a full set of rules. For right now, though....
No Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus, and no show-stealers :P
